This is where the Bauhaus reached its heyday and developed its distinctive style, which made it the absolute icon of modernity to this day. Saxony-Anhalt has the highest concentration of World Heritage Sites in Germany: the Bauhaus Dessau, Luther’s Wittenberg and Eisleben, Quedlinburg’s Old Town, the Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz and the Naumburg Cathedral.
The number of infections with coronavirus is rising throughout Germany. In 75 % of the infection cases, the public health offices were no longer able to trace the source. To prevent an overloading of the health care system, all contacts must be clearly reduced. The aim is to reduce contacts by 75 %. This requires every individual to limit his or her direct contacts to the necessary minimum.Starting from 11.01.2021, the contact restrictions in Saxony-Anhalt will be tightened further. Please help to protect yourself and others from the virus.
To prevent the spread of the virus, we all have to adapt our behavior in everyday life and to particularly observe the following rules:
Meetings and celebrations are only permittedfor members ofthe same household with a maximum of one additional person. This also applies for children.
Public consumption of alcohol is forbidden
Restaurants and bars remain closed, but food and beverages can be sold to-go or delivered at home.
Retail remains closed. Exceptions are,amongst others,groceries, pharmacies, drugstores, newspaper kiosks andbook stores. Delivery or pick-up service remains available.
Museums, cinemas,hotels,amusement halls, fitness centers, hair dressers and amusementparks have to close. Sports in clubs are forbidden. Individual sportlike joggingis allowed.
Language and integration courses are currently not taking place in the form of classroom teaching.Already scheduled exams are excluded from this regulation.Virtual teaching is still possible.
School education is restricted.For children ofparents, whowork in a system relevant profession (e. g. the health-care sector),emergency child care is providedfrom grade1to grade6andin special schools from grade 7 upwards.Classroom teaching can be carried out for graduation classes aspreparation for the exams.
Day care centers and kindergartensprovide emergencychildcare. This can be used, if the parents are working in a system relevant profession, e.g. the health-care sector. A certificate of the employer is needed for this.
Additionally, administrative districts and district-free cities with high numbers of infectionshave to restrict travel to a 15 kilometer radius around the place of residenceto restrict non-essential tourism. Please consult the webpages of your administrative district or district-free city.
Passengers in buses, trains, taxis, etc., as well as customers in shops are required to wear a face mask.
In the case of classroom teaching,pupils from class 7 and above are also required to wear a face mask at school, if the distance of 1.5 meters cannot be kept.
